About the Founder
My name is Liliana Riccò, and fashion has always been part of who I am.
From a young age, I was endlessly drawn to clothing, always in my mother’s wardrobe, admiring her style and learning how clothes can express confidence, femininity, and individuality. She remains my greatest inspiration.
I have wanted to start my own clothing brand since high school, but my journey truly took shape when I moved overseas to study fashion in Florence, Italy. I studied at Polimoda Fashion School, consistently ranked among the top fashion schools in the world. My time there was transformative. I had the privilege of learning from industry professionals, gaining invaluable technical and creative knowledge, and experiencing fashion at its highest level, including attending Milan Fashion Week and completing an internship in Budapest at a wonderful luxury brand, where I gained invaluable behind the scenes experience and insight into how a luxury fashion house operates.
Living in Italy was one of the most incredible experiences of my life, and I am deeply grateful for everything it gave me. But as much as I loved being abroad, I always knew I wanted to come home. South Africa is extraordinary. We often do not realise how fortunate we are to live here. The country is incredibly creative, filled with talent, innovation, and individuality, and I knew that if I was going to build something meaningful, it needed to be rooted here.
With that, I decided it was time to create something of my own.

Who We Are
About Us
Liliana is a made to order, ready to wear womenswear brand offering limited edition pieces, thoughtfully designed and produced in Cape Town, South Africa. Each style is released in a carefully considered quantity, ensuring exclusivity and allowing every piece to feel special and personal.
The brand is deeply personal. My full name, Liliana, was chosen in honour of my nonna, my Italian grandmother, whom I was named after. She sadly passed away, and this brand exists not only as a creative expression, but also as a tribute to her.
Growing up, I was constantly inspired by clothing I saw online, but so often the pieces I loved were only available overseas. I wanted to change that, to create something unique and elevated locally, while bringing my own interpretation of international styles to women in South Africa.
All Liliana pieces are made to order, allowing us to produce intentionally and responsibly. This approach significantly reduces overproduction and fabric waste, supports local manufacturing, and ensures each garment is created with care rather than haste. Made to order also allows us to focus on quality, craftsmanship, and longevity, creating pieces designed to be worn, loved, and kept.
Liliana is rooted in slow fashion, individuality, and thoughtful design. Every garment is made locally, celebrating the incredible creativity and skill that exists within South Africa’s fashion industry.
